Education has always been at the heart of my work.

As a Senior Lecturer, author, mentor, speaker and podcast host, I help music creators develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills they need to build sustainable careers in a rapidly changing industry.

My teaching sits at the intersection of music, business, technology and the creator economy. I make complex industry subjects accessible, relevant and practical — helping creators understand not just how the music business works, but how they can navigate it on their own terms.

Alongside my academic teaching, I work directly with creators, industry professionals and technology companies, giving me a constantly evolving understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing today’s music makers.

Through my book, The Music Business For Music Creators, and my podcast, The Music Business Buddy, I also make practical music-business education accessible to creators beyond traditional education.

Whether I’m teaching a university class, mentoring an emerging artist, delivering a conference masterclass or developing educational content with a music-tech company, my goal is the same:
